The ICMC

The Iloilo City Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions Center (ICMC) was created on July 29, 2019 through an Executive Order No. 034 issued by Hon. Jerry P. Treñas, Mayor of Iloilo City. ICMC by creation is to market and promote the City of Iloilo locally, national and globally as the major MICE tourism destination with primary role to highlights the uniqueness of the city destination and assists in developing local products and services for achieving increase of tourist arrivals and tourism investment in the City of Iloilo.

The Mandate

ICMC is taking charge of attracting, promoting, facilitating, and servicing events, fairs, conventions, congresses, sports competitions, expositions, and the like. It also ensure the regular advertisement of Iloilo City’s MICE-tourism destinations and other tourism products with incentives may be provided to travel agencies locally and abroad which are able to draw tourists and commerce as well.

By 2028, Iloilo City shall be one of the top 5 preferred MICE-tourism destinations in the Philippines.

The Mission

ICMC, as a destination marketing organization, shall lead in promoting and marketing one of Iloilo City’s major economic drivers, tourism sector, by using MICE as its strategic engine forging partnerships, encouraging innovations and ensuring excellence in the tourism industry.

ICMC pledges to diligently carry out the Office’s mandate, to devote our time and efforts in achieving the highest level of quality in the performance of our tasks and in providing services to our industry stakeholders, to continue to innovate work, processes, ethics and collaboration, and to embrace learning and developments to hone inherent and acquired talents of each member in the office, in order to enhance public service delivery more efficiently and effectively, and eventually, achieve tourism growth for Iloilo City.

The Iloilo City Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Events Center (ICMC) commits to maintain itself as the responsive marketing and promotions arm of the Office of the Iloilo City Mayor and provide the highest quality of service that inspires stakeholders and meets stakeholder’s expectations and needs.
ICMC shall continually improve its value to partners, stakeholders and customers by adhering to an effective and efficient Quality Management System that is compliant with global standards and legal requirements. The ICMC is empowered by an adaptive team that embraces a growth mindset characterized by integrity, guided by thought leadership that strive for excellence.

BRANDING ILOILO CITY REFINED

Iloilo City MICE Center (ICMC) embarked on a journey of understanding and adopted a brand for Iloilo City. Through MICE, a brand that is uniquely Ilonggo was promptly introduced. It was anchored on the city's one-of-a-kind culture, tradition, art, language, and cuisine which, if marketed properly, can institutionalize a distinct image of its own.

In consultation with some of the most progressive and vital enterprises, time and funds were invested to develop a single core brand rather than having several individual branding by various groups. As a result, Iloilo City developed a sustainable identity that aptly reflects the Ilonggo way of life: Iloilo City Refined. The Iloilo City Refined branding was able to build a sustainable and powerful marketing strategy for Iloilo City throughout the course of a three-year period, from the initial planning phases until the campaign's debut. In terms of building a brand design that promotes Iloilo City as an appealing travel (tourism) and business (MICE) destination, as well as the development of a communication strategy and connection plan to activate this brand.
